Field Oriented Control technology takes general purpose drive to the next level
Meeting the needs of general purpose OEM drive applications such as textiles, printing and packaging, food and beverage, and materials handling, the C2000 variable speed drive from Softstart UK uses field oriented control as its core technology, taking drive technology to the next level.
Manufactured by Delta Electronics – the world’s largest variable speed drives manufacturer – the C2000 sets the bar high in features and benefits, including built-in PLC functionality, self diagnostics and long life design.

Highly reliable and easy to use, the C2000 offers speed, torque and position control modes, in a dual rating (normal duty and heavy duty) design. Suitable for use with both induction motors and synchronous motors, the C2000 provides outstanding 4-quadrant torque control and torque limit, and smooth motion across the power range.

With built-in PLC functionality combined with integrated safe stop function and brake unit, the C2000 provides all the features needed for standalone machine control, eliminating the need for a separate PLC and other external components, so simplifying the installation.

Long life and extended reliability are supported by features such as enhanced circuit protection against challenging ambient conditions and life detection of important components. In addition, the self-diagnostics help to reduce machine downtime, while the modular design simplifies maintenance.
Support for network protocols includes built-in CANopen and Modbus interfaces, with option cards for Profibus, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP and EtherNet/IP.

Available in powers from 0.75kW to 355kW, the C2000 is the latest product to be brought to the UK through Softstart UK’s strategic partnership with Delta. The partnership combines the market leading products of Delta Electronics with the unrivalled reach and experience of Softstart’s dedicated team of automation specialists.
