DC motor features eight standard windings

The latest addition of PITTMAN's line of brush-commutated DC motors: the DC022C Series, a 22mm diameter unit offered in three lengths with continuous output torques of 0.0056-0.141Nm, has been announced.

The DC022C series is offered with eight standard windings with special windings available. It features speeds up to 10,000RPM and DC bus voltages up to 36VDC. The brush DC motor has a two pole stator with neodymium magnets, five slot skewed rotor and sintered bronze bearings. Ball bearings, copper graphite brushes and RFI suppression also are available.

Various options, such as an encoder and gearboxes with reduction ratios from 4:1 to 429:1, are offered to optimise the performance of DC022C brush DC motor for highly specialised or unique applications. Among them are Pittman’s newest E21 compact encoder and economical PLG24 planetary gearbox.

The Pittman brush DC motors are highly customisable, making them well suited for a variety of high-tech motion applications, including lab automation, medical devices, communications equipment, semiconductor processing equipment, aerospace systems, and many other applications where precision motion is critical.
