AC drive for medium and heavy-duty industries

The drives are available for 400V supply voltage. The compact ACU 7 converters in the 160kW version have a high-power density of 2kW/dm³. The 200kW water-cooled version of the new ACU 7 drives achieves the extra ordinary power-density value of 2.5 kW/dm3.

The improved ACU 7 drives are particularly suitable to medium and heavy-duty industries such as material handling, mining, sugar, water and waste water, road construction, and plastics.

Besides the known features, Bonfiglioli´s new ACU 7 inverter solutions offer further options such as control features with 32 PLC function blocks and 16 variables, as well as several feedback sensors. On top of this, there is a wide range of digital and analogue outputs and inputs inclusive of PTC, PT100 or KTY temperature sensors.

The standard communication protocol portfolio like Profinet, Ethernet IP, EtherCAT, VABus/TCP and CANopen are also available in the ACU 7 inverters. The safety function ‘Safe Torque Off’ comes along as an integrated and standard feature too.

For many applications, the new and more effective ACU 7 drives represent a benchmark in the high-power range, characterised by flexibility, open communication and the smallest required assembly space.
