Piston air motor – Ideal for the food environment

Piston air motor – Ideal for the food environment
The Huco Dynatork air motor is quite ingenious. It is based on a unique free-floating piston design that is capable of precise position control. Maximum torque is transmitted on start-up and this can be adjusted to fine limits by standard air-flow valves. Unlike other makes that operate with a system of metal pistons and connecting rods, the Huco Dynatork motor is perfect for stop/start load speed applications under load.

Compact 48V DC Gearmotor Develops 46 IN. LB. Torque at 100 RPM

Midwest Motion Products has announced the release of a new DC Gear Motor, the Model No. MMP-TM55-48V GPk52-046. Accepting any 48 Volt DC source, including battery power, this robust Gear Motor measures just 2.14” in Diameter, by 7.2” long, and has a keyed output shaft of 12mm diameter by 25mm long. Easy mounting is accomplished with 4 “face mount” M5 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 40mm Dia. B.C. The output of this reversible gearmotor is rated for 46 IN LBS continuous torque, at 100 RPM, and 89 IN LBS Peak. Despite its compact size, and weight of approximately 3.5 pounds, it’s an efficient design, requiring just 1.8 Amps at 48 Volts DC to generate its Full Load Torque. That translates into long life battery charge, very low noise operation, and lower costs for related drive electronics. Motor windings for 12, 24, 36, 60 & 90 Volts are available.

DeviceNet Expansion Module for JVL´s integrated MAC motors

DeviceNet Expansion Module for JVL´s integrated MAC motors
JVL has developed a new module for the MAC50-141 and MAC800 series of integrated servo motors that enables the MAC motors to be used on Devicenet. The AC-servo motor, encoder, amplifier, positional controller and Devicenet are all built into the motor. The only connections required are a supply voltage and the Devicenet cables. The device type is a ”Position controller”, which is a standard method for controlling position when motion control is used on Devicenet.

Decentralised drive range reduces costs and complexity in large conveyor applications

Decentralised drive range reduces costs and complexity in large conveyor applications
Nord Drivesystems has expanded its range with a comprehensive portfolio of decentralised drives and related automation components. By eliminating traditional panel building and cabling requirements, the technology can radically simplify the construction of large conveyor applications in, for example, production lines, warehouse and logistics centres, or baggage handling lines. The resulting network-based automation provides a clear and logical plant structure that is simpler to plan, install, operate and maintain.
