SIMPOE SAS announced today the immediate availability of the new releases Simpoe-Mold 2009-R1 and SimpoeWorks 2009-R1 of its plastic injection simulation software product lines.
Simpoe-Mold is a stand alone version, while SimpoeWorks, a SolidWorks Gold Partner product, is fully embedded into the SolidWorks 3D CAD software.

Besides the traditional advantages brought by all SIMPOE products: ease of use, speed and affordability, these new releases bring major benefits and new functionalities to plastic parts product designers, manufacturers and mold makers. Major new functionalities of Simpoe-Mold® 2009-R1 and SimpoeWorks® 2009-R1 include:

gates position optimisation for multiple gate injection – up to eight simultaneous gates- for large parts, even before the first simulation computer run, saving therefore a significant amount of time.

direct reading of Think3 and VX CAD model files in their native formats. Think3 and VX CAD softwares users do not need to worry about file transfer any longer, as was already the case for Catia as well as SolidWorks users. Other CAD model files can still be imported into Simpoe-Mold through STEP, IGES and STL files formats.

support of HTML, Word and Powerpoint formats for automatic report generation.

an improved and even more user friendly “batch manager”, which doesn’t require to open each project individually to launch a bunch of simulations.

For Thierry LEROY, SIMPOE ‘s Chief Operating Officer :” These new mid-year releases, as per our strategy of two new major releases per year, bring a complete set of improvements and new functionalities to make the job of all involved in the plastic parts value chain much easier, and make those companies more competitive, and important asset in the current economic situation. Combined with the development of our resellers network, both domestically and internationally, these new releases directly fit into our strategy to democratize Plastic Injection Simulation.”
