Engineers can find pneumatic parts fast with new app

Transforming the way customers access pneumatic components, IMI Precision Engineering has launched a revolutionary app. The free smartphone app is set to provide engineers and maintenance supervisors with a faster and easier solution when sourcing replacement parts to keep their machines moving.

The new IMI Norgren Express App uses patent pending technology to provide maintenance engineers with an ordering system, enabling them to find and order products on their smartphone from a catalogue of over 100,000 part numbers. It also offers the ability to convert pneumatic parts from other competitor brands.

Utilising real time information and user location finder, the free app provides a ‘buy it now’ option or can locate the nearest distributor with the product in stock, facilitating same day pick-up or next day delivery. Using QR code technology, engineers can scan the product code to quickly receive real-time information regarding availability, price and technical data.

Alternatively, for any product that is not in the database, engineers can photograph the part number or the product and send it to the App’s dedicated technical team. The team will then identify the product and nearest stockist and provide the user with a response within 30 minutes.

Ciaran Crowley, General Manager of IMI Norgren Express, explained: “Improving their operations is vital for our customers, and the IMI Norgren Express App is set to significantly reduce the amount of time engineers and maintenance supervisors spend finding or ordering replacement pneumatic parts. We’ve developed the app with the user at the heart, leveraging the typical smartphone camera, GPS and messaging systems, to give greater access to replacement parts at their fingertips, wherever and whenever they need them.”

Martin Geobey, UK Sales and Marketing Director, added: “The IMI Norgren Express App is the latest initiative underpinning our desire to provide our customers with marvellous service at every stage. The app is particularly advanced for the industry, and another great way we provide an added-value service to our customers, helping them access the parts they require with minimal disruption to their day-to-day operations.”

Search ‘IMI Norgren’ in the App Store or Google Play to download the new IMI Norgren Express App.
