“Within the Altair suite of tools, we employ HyperMesh, HyperCrash, RADIOSS, HyperView, and OptiStruct, using them nearly the same way for our customers in all of the industries we serve,” said Frank Braymand, Project and Innovation Manager, L&L Products Europe SAS. “HyperMesh and HyperView are the standard pre- and post-processing tools for all the solvers we apply, because they are very user-friendly and provide a good interface to many different crash codes. Also, because of its unique licensing system, HyperWorks gives us the flexibility we need in our development process. With this system, we can use the same licensing units during the day for pre- and post-processing tasks and during the nights and weekends to run the solvers. Furthermore, Altair is continuously developing its CAE suite. For example, it now also provides features for the design, simulation and optimization of composite materials, where I see a growing application field in the near future. We are very happy with the Altair tools and the support provided by the Altair team and will continue to use HyperWorks in all upcoming projects we have scheduled.”
“We are very pleased to see L&L Products expanding on its successful use of HyperWorks to additional industries,” said Mauro Guglielminotti, managing director southern Europe, Altair Engineering. “Beyond the aerospace industry, we now also see a growing demand for the use of composite materials in the automotive industry, and Altair is prepared for this demand. HyperWorks now includes new simulation features and optimization possibilities for composite materials, and we invested heavily in solver as well as pre- and post-processing features needed to design, analyze and optimize composites components. I think that this, in combination with our flexible licensing system, is one of the major reasons why we have such great success, especially in the aerospace and automotive industries.”
