YASKAWA’s new electrically driven small component assembly system features highly dynamic positioning action coupled with absolute precision. The linear direct drive system features a combination of carbon and aluminum materials and offers both very high rigidity and extremely low weight. The solution does not require the additional support structures which normally are needed in conventional systems.
Due to its combination of good dynamic properties and highly precise positioning, the new YASKAWA multi-axis system is the solution of choice for applications that call for high acceleration values and short cycles such as in neurosurgery or nanomechanics in conjunction with laser or X rays. The new high-speed axis system is also highly suitable for industrial handling and assembly, pick-and-place systems in electronics, measurement and testing, medical engineering and applications in the packaging and food industries.
The new handling system is offered as an integrated, ready-to-install solution that consists of YASKAWA linear motors and servo amplifiers, and of a machine controller that features IEC 61131 programming. All components are carefully matched, allowing for the creation of highly compact, extremely low-maintenance drive solutions with maximum performance and minimum energy consumption.
