Korenix sets up new sales and technical support operation in the UK

The new company, Korenix (UK) Ltd will now be able to offer UK-based customers sales and technical guidance on Korenix’s complete range of robust, high quality, cost effective Ethernet connectivity devices, including the company’s latest ‘JetNet’, ‘JetBox’ and ‘JetPoE’ ranges.

Korenix designs and manufactures a range of industrial Ethernet switches, device servers, Power-over-Ethernet switches and embedded industrial computers. While the technical quality of these devices matches European competing products, the cost is typically around 20% less.

Targeted at OEMs, systems integrators, control and automation engineers, production/ maintenance engineers and IT professionals working in industrial environments, Korenix products are found in a diverse range of network applications, including industrial environments, manufacturing, transportation, medical establishments, energy and utility companies, point-of-sale, industrial automation, airports, security and surveillance systems.

As a company who is progressive in its thoughts and ideas for the future of industrial Ethernet products, Korenix has been developing products that really “stand out from the crowd”.

Korenix’s latest products include the ‘JetNet 5010G’, a Gigabit Managed Ethernet switch that offers the fastest Ethernet recovery time in the world today - less than 5 milliseconds. The JetNet 5010G is the only industrial Ethernet switch in the world to provide three Gigabit SFP connections in one modular design. Most competing suppliers can only offer two SFP connections per switch at best. Other vendors require users to purchase three separate SFP models and three separate RJ45 models to achieve the desired connectivity.

Another new product just launched in the UK is the ‘JetBox 9300’, a multi-function network communications device that combines a router, Ethernet-managed switch and an industrial computer into a single compact box. The industrial computer is an Atmel 180MHz, 64MB SDRAM (128MB optional), RISC-based embedded computer, with a built-in Linux operating system, as well as VCOM, Modbus and Modbus/TCP functionality. The device is equipped with all the common communications interfaces, including five Ethernet ports, two USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports, eight digital inputs, eight digital outputs and one SD card slot.
