Gate and Door Control Specialists Introduce New Wireless Transmission System
Gate and door control specialists, Motion29, have introduced the new Bircher Reglomat wireless RF Gate signal transmission system to their existing range of gate and door control supplies. The new system, available in one and two channel variants, provides direction related output for safety edges on sliding, swing and folding gates.
“In order to complete your safety edge system a switching unit is required.” says Andrew Wilkinson, gate and door safety consultant at Motion29. “It is essential that the status of the safety edge is monitored so when there is a fault or the edge has been activated, the system provides the necessary feedback to stop the gate or door.”
The RF Gate 2.2 can be used to provide output for up to four safety edges per transmitter. With the two-channel solution, you can program up to seven transmitters on each channel/output.
“The main advantages of the RF Gate system are its versatility and ease of use” says Andrew. “It can be used for sliding and telescopic gates at a site entrance, for example, and for wicket, rolling and sectional doors. Its resilient, wear-free signal transmission makes it extremely economical and low-maintenance.”

Andrew continues, “When it comes to safety matters it’s just not worth compromising on the quality and performance of monitoring devices. We have consulted many industrial clients on safety door operations and my key piece of advice is to invest in equipment which is built to last and easy to set up and maintain to keep productivity levels up and operating costs at a minimum.”

With acoustic and visual displays which warn when the battery charge is low, the RF Gate system is simple to maintain. By wirelessly communicating the status of the safety edges to the switching unit, the device transmits vital safety information in an instant, allowing any potentially hazardous incidents to be avoided.

“Simple installation and easy-fit are essential to look out for”, advises Andrew. “With the new Bircher model simply program, switch on and off you go!”
