Meggitt, a leading supplier of quality vibration sensors and sensor networks, has added a Spanish-language page to the www.wilcoxon.com website, which focuses on vibration sensors for industrial machinery health monitoring.

Meggitt’s Wilcoxon Research measurement products, a high quality line of accelerometers, shakers and vibration equipment, are now sold through the Meggitt Sensing Systems facility in San Juan Capistrano, California, USA. The Wilcoxon Research products, along with Endevco® and Sensorex measurement products, will be sold by Meggitt Sensing Systems leading experts in the test and measurement field.

Meggitt Sensing Systems announces the 50th anniversary of the Maryland-based manufacturer of Meggitt’s Wilcoxon Research range of piezoelectric accelerometers and vibration sensors.

Meggitt Sensing Systems, the makers of Wilcoxon Research vibration sensors and sensor networks, has added three new accelerometers with M12 connectors to its product line. The M12 connector makes it easy to implement vibration monitoring where the existing infrastructure is already built around the M12 standard, such as the process industries. Several compatible M12 connector-cable assemblies are also now available.

The Meggitt group is making the transition to a new structure comprising five operating divisions: Meggitt Sensing Systems, Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems, Meggitt Control Systems, Meggitt Polymers & Composites and Meggitt Equipment Group. Based on core capabilities, this is designed to build stronger, more integrated operating divisions. The transition should be completed in 2010.

Wilcoxon Research received intrinsically safe certification on the company’s new full-performance, compact, industrial accelerometer. The 780A-IS is the most recent addition to Wilcoxon Research’s extensive line of hazardous area sensors.

Wilcoxon Research has released a new high output accelerometer for machinery health monitoring. The model 786-500 accelerometer has a high output and broadband frequency response for multi-use applications.

Wilcoxon Research announced that it will add isolator bases to the company’s extensive line of vibration sensor mounting accessories. The new isolator mounting bases protect a vibration sensor from up to 1500 volts of electricity by electrically isolating it from the case of the machine on which it is mounted.

Wilcoxon Research has released two new magnet bases for accelerometers, models B12 and B13. The new magnet bases have a narrow diameter for easy handling in the field and high pull strength for reliable vibration data measurements.

Wilcoxon Research has improved the hazardous area certifications on several of the company’s most popular accelerometers. The changes in certification make the product available for a wider range of safety barriers as well as compliant with the new European ATEX standards.

Wilcoxon Research announces the addition of a displacement sensor to its popular PC420 Series of 4-20 mA vibration sensors. The PC420D is the first IEPE displacement transducer and 4-20 mA vibration transmitter packaged as a single sensor.
