Simufact Engineering and the Malaysian university UiTM (Universiti Teknologi MARA) in Shah Alam have started to cooperate in research and education of students and software users from the industry. The focus of the cooperation is on modern software-aided simulation methods that are employed in the production of metal-based industrial goods such as automobiles and engines.

Simufact Engineering has founded the Indian subsidiary Simufact India Private Limited. Dr. Gabriel Mc Bain (38) has been appointed as Director of Simufact India. The registered office of the new company is the city of Bangalore, in which leading component suppliers and aerospace companies are based.

Simufact Engineering have entered a technology partnership. The main purpose of the co-operation is the adaption of Simufact’s simulation programs to the hydraulic machines of Schuler SMG. Companies in the forging industry will benefit especially from the technology partnership, since they are now, based on this solution, able to simulate entire process chains on their Schuler SMG machines.

The Hamburg-based software company Simufact Engineering now offers new versions of its simulation software Simufact.forming and Simufact.welding. Providing more functionality for a broader scope of application while offering a simplified usability - that's the credo of the new software versions that are employed for the design and optimization of manufacturing techniques in metal processing.

Simufact Engineering GmbH continues on growth course. With Dr. Ulrike Beyer as project manager joining technology, and Volker Mensing as director marketing & communications, the Hamburg based company has expanded its competence with two more skilled experts. Already in January, Simufact could win Dr. Ralph Bernhardt as the new Director Research & Development.

Simufact Engineering GmbH has signed an agreement with the Shenyang Ligong University under which the two signing parts will open a training center at the university’s facilities in China.

Simufact Engineering GmbH, a leading provider of software and services in the area of bulk metal forming announced today, that Dr. Gabriel Barton has joined the Simufact team in October this year. Relying on his know-how in the area of incremental forming simulation, Dr. Barton will focus on ring rolling and open die forging applications and will add a new focus and fresh ideas to the engineering service department. Simufact Engineering GmbH, a leading provider of software and services in the area of bulk metal forming announced today, that this year’s RoundTable attracted a record number of more than 160 participants to Bamberg to the 12th annual user conference of the company, to Bamberg. The experts of the forming industry met from September 27th - 30th to learn about the latest trends in forming simulation and to discuss current tendencies of the branch. Due to the international orientation of this year's RoundTable, the percentage of attendees from abroad was over 30%, among them guests from the USA, Brazil, Poland, Turkey, Russia, India, China, Thailand and Japan. Even if some of the traditional participants of the RoundTable could not attend this year due to urgent project work, the company was more than pleased with the success of the conference.

Simufact Engineering GmbH, announced the membership of its affiliate Simufact- Americas in the American Forging Industry Association (FIA). The FIA is a corporate membership association comprised of some 110 North American forging producers operating over 150 plants. The cooperation was established at the end of April this year and will extend the activities of Simufact and its affiliate Simufact Americas in the North American market. As a member of the FIA, Simufact-Americas will benefit from a direct access to valuable information and trends in the North American markets and is able to better get in touch with potential future customers. Simufact on the other hand will offer all members of FIA an easier and more cost efficient access to the forming simulation environment Simufact.forming. With Simufact.forming, North American forming companies will be able use the latest simulation echnologies to optimize their development and manufacturing processes.

Simufact Engineering GmbH, announced that the 12th RoundTable will again - in good tradition - take place in Bamberg, from September 27th - 30th, 2010. The conference and its accompanying events will show how companies and their employees can face today's challenges in creating efficient process designs and will offer the opportunity to discuss new approaches in forming simulation technology. Users from all industries and countries are called to submit their paper on bulk metal forming processes to contribute to the success of the 12th RoundTable.
