In an important development for the global process industry, Morgan Advanced Materials has introduced specialist food safe laboratory porcelain for food packaging.

Now offering a prototype and development service for piezoceramic micro tube components, Morgan Advanced Materials produce them in diameters between 0.4-1.0mm, and lengths of up to 15mm.

A volume silicon carbide manufacturing facility in Stourport has been created by Morgan advanced materials. This dedicated facility was designed to increase capacity and has enabled the company to augment its sales in Europe and worldwide with these higher performing silicon carbide materials.

A new type of alumina sensor has been produced by Morgan Advanced Materials, specially designed for high pressure and high temperature water and sub-metering. The sensor has been specifically developed to withstand extreme temperatures, making it well suited to both heat metering and high temperature fluid metering.

The FireMaster battery bag, which measures 500x500mm, comprises two of Morgan’s specialist thermal materials to create a sealable, water-resistant compartment capable of containing the heat spread in the event of a primary-lithium or lithium-ion battery fire.

Morgan Advanced Materials now has the capability to develop gas flow transducers which remain accurate in harsh environments subject to extreme temperatures and the presence of highly corrosive chemicals. Drawing on its extensive knowledge and experience in gas transducer technology used within a range of applications, Morgan has surpassed industry standards by producing sensors which are operational within an even greater range of temperature extremes than ever before.

Morgan Advanced Materials has further extended its offering to the utilities sector with the addition of a range of ultra-wide bandwidth, high-sensitivity air coupled ceramic sensors for flow metering. The sensors offer an increase of magnitude in sensitivity compared with alternatives which are currently on the market, whilst maintaining and widening the bandwidth.

Morgan Advanced Materials has further extended its range of porous materials with the launch of HalFoam, alongside the introduction of new grades within existing product lines.
