An order has been received by Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, for natural-gas-fired gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) power generation system equipment. Lamma Power Station Extension - Unit 11 want the GTCC to be built in Hong Kong by The Hongkong Electric Co. Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) is prime contractor on the project.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Machine Tool has developed the micro V5 micro milling machine, the latest in its micro V series. The micro V5 has a bigger working surface table and wider process stroke than the current micro V1, allowing for high-efficiency machining with micrometre-level (1/1,000 mm) precision for large products or those that require fine milling using small diameter tools, such as molds for car optical components.

Turbine roll testing completed for Chinese nuclear power plants
The initial turbine roll testing for the Sanmen Unit 1 and Haiyang Unit 1 nuclear power plants has been completed by Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS), which is one of the important test items in the secondary system (turbine system) for pressurised water reactors (PWR). Both power plants will now go on to carry out fuel loading and various load testing, with operations scheduled to begin in the second half of 2017.

Replacement work completed at Swedish nuclear power plant
Replacement work on a pressurised water reactor (PWR) pressuriser nozzle spool piece has been completed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), as part of an order received from Ringhals AB of Sweden. The work at the Unit-3 reactor of the Ringhals Nuclear Power Plant in southern Sweden has improved reliability by replacing the nozzle welds with an alloy of higher corrosion resistance.

Retro-fit project for Chinese power plant
Environmental equipment engineering joint-venture, Zhejiang Feida MHPS High Efficiency Flue Gas Cleaning System Engineering, (FMH), established by Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS), has completed retro-fit project and begun operations for a flue gas treatment system for Huadian Zouxian Power, a part of China Huadian Corporation. The construction work was the first such order received by FMH and was completed in a short delivery time of seven months.

Bangladesh receive order for M701F gas turbine

An order for an M701F gas turbine for the Sirajganj thermal power plant project under way in Bangladesh has been received by Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS). The turbine will be a core component of a dual fuel (natural gas with diesel as backup) Gas Turbine Combined Cycle (GTCC) power station with a contracted output of 413MW. A Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) was also concluded.
