  Motion control specialists, Applied Motion Products (AMP) and available from Mclennan, NEMA size 11 StepServo integrated motors are now available as compact all-in-one linear actuators fitted with precision ballscrew or leadscrew output shafts and anti-backlash nuts. 

An alternative encoder technology for microstepping motor position verification has been announced by Applied Motion Products (AMP), which is available from Mclennan, AMP´s European distribution partner. The capacitive encoder technology offers advantages for applications where increased durability or space savings are required.

  The compact all-in-one MIS17 series integrated motor from JVL Industri Elektronik brings QuickStep closed-loop motor technology and EtherCAT communications to a NEMA17 frame motor. It is now available in the UK with full support from Mclennan. JVL has proven its QuickStep/ServoStep technology in its larger 23 and 34 NEMA frame integrated motors.

Applied Motion Products recently announced the newly available STR series stepper drives for step and direction control, which are available from Mclennan and are now offered in two new AC-powered versions for higher torque applications. Complementing AMPs existing DC-powered STR series drives, the new STRAC2 and STRAC8 drives are also aimed at OEMs and machine builders as a convenient and cost effective choice where PLCs, PACs or pulse generating motion controls are used in automation systems.

The specialist ZSH-series stepper motors from Phytron are now available from its new distribution partner Mclennan, and are built for use in especially harsh industrial environments. As part of a wide range that spans proven use in environments from deep space and ultra-high vacuum to standard industrial, the ZSH in particular is designed as a cost effective solution for truly harsh industrial use where standard build stepper motors would have severe limitations.

Integrated motors from Applied Motion Products (AMP), the stepSERVO, are now available in a new NEMA 34 frame-size option that offers closed-loop servo control with peak-torque performance of over 8Nm – up to 50% more torque than equivalent stepper motors running open loop.

  The new Portescap 22ECP series brushless and slotless miniature motors from Mclennan, feature optimised speed/torque performance characteristics in two length versions with 80W or 120W continuous output power. 

A pin-compatible version of Mclennan’s, MSE570 Eurocard series stepper motor drive has been launched, which adds selectable microstepping resolution and features an improved speed/torque capability. The completely redesigned MSE570M drive offers much improved smoothness, lower motor resonance and retains all of the useful control and monitoring features of the previous version, the MSE570EVO2.

A new miniature microstepping drive, aimed at OEM applications requiring step & direction control of smaller 2-phase stepper motors, is available from Mclennan. The all new STR3 from Applied Motion Products (AMP) measures just 55 x 45 x 28 mm but packs up to 3 Amps peak current and offers simple dip-switch set-up with sophisticated features found on much more expensive microstepping drives. 

The stepper motor range at McLennan has been expanded by the HH series hollow shaft motors from its USA distribution partner Applied Motion Products. With high-torque NEMA 17 and 23 motor frame options in a choice of stack lengths, the hollow shaft facilitates direct assembly of a lead screw without the need for a coupling - keeping hardware to a minimum and simplifying design for machine builders.
