JVL Industri Elektronik A/S has introduced a new compact and slim stepper motor. The new ServoStep integrated stepper motor series MIS171 to MIS176 have a NEMA 17 42x42mm flange and include controller with 6 different industrial Ethernet protocols, absolute multiturn encoder, closed loop and M12 connectors. This new motor family is based on the latest microprocessor and cooling technology and an advancement compared to previous designs.

Integrated servo and stepper motor producer, JVL Industri Elektronik, has announced a new generation of the NEMA23 integrated stepper motors. The new motor family, ServoStep, uses the newest technology and the advancement of the previous designs, incorporating customers’ feedback. According to the company, the family has the widest pallet of options in the market and will thus fit into all possible customer applications.

JVL has added Profinet Industrial Ethernet capabilities to their NEMA 34 Series of integrated steppers with programmable controllers.  Available in 4 torque ratings of 3,0 Nm (26.6 in.lb), 6,0 Nm (53.1 in. lb.), 9,0 Nm (79.7 in. lb.), and 12,0 Nm (106.2 in. lb.) these very compact integrated steppers (the MIS340 is just 95 mm (3.74 in. long), include all necessary electronics within the IP67 rated motor housing.  the quiet, precision, powerful MIS340 Series steppers are ideal for: Industrial, medical, inspection, testing, and processing applications.

The latest addition to JVL Industri Elektronik’s integrated servo motor range - the 1.5 kW rated MAC1500 - is now available from its UK distribution partner Mclennan. The MAC1500 sits neatly in the MACmotor range of brushless servo motors complete with integrated AC servo drive, hall sensor, encoder feedback, optional brake and comprehensive motion controls, with power ratings from 400 to 3000 Watts. At just 182 mm nominal length and flange mount dimensions of 130 x 130 mm, this amazingly compact integrated servo drive matches the size of tradition servo motors without drives for its 5/15 Nm continuous/peak torque power rating.

JVL’s has introduced six Hollow Core Rotary Actuators. These integrated rotary actuators are available in two table sizes, the HDCT-100 and the HDCT-130, and each with a choice of three motors. An optional sensor kit, and control modules such as: Profibus, Devicenet and Ethernet, and easy point-and-click programming allow for easy integration into new and existing applications. Each of the hollow core rotary actuators are available either with the MIS231 Integrated Stepper – or with an Integrated Servo motor, the MAC140 or MAC400. The table diameter and hollow core of the HDCT-100 is 95 mm (3.74 in.) and 29 mm (1.14 in.) and the table diameter and hollow core of the HDCT-130 is 120 mm (4.72 in.) and 35 mm (1.38 in.). Mounted in any position these rotary actuators are ideal for: Manufacturing, inspection, positioning, research, tracking, medical, and numerous other applications.

JVL now offers it’s world famous integrated servo motor MAC 141 in a totally stainless steel version especially for the food and medical industry. Thereby can customer save money for stock and new Industrial Ethernet products could be launch very rapidly after approval of the industry. All modules are equipped with robust M12 connector to archive high IP protection and also internal switch technology with Ethernet IN and OUT

JVL now launches a new integrated stepper motor with RS485 and CANopen serial interface and programmable motion controller. All the necessary electronics in a stepper system are integrated in the motor itself. JVL has used the newest technology to obtain an incredibly high step resolution of 819200 step/revolution – resulting in unsurpassed smoothness and silent running.

JVL has developed an OCX-driver for JVL MAC050-141, MAC800 and QuickStep motors and Controller SMC75 for use in programming applications in LabView, Excel, Visual Basic, Visual C++, Visual.Net, Delphi and Borland C++ Builder, etc. The new OCX driver makes it easy to create complex applications in a quick and simple way.

The latest firmware for the integrated servo motors MAC400 and MAC800 now supports the MODBUS RTU protocol.

The firmware of JVL’s QuickStep motors has been extended with yet another function: an SSI encoder interface. It is thus possible to integrate absolute encoder functions in the QuickStep integrated stepper motors and in the stepper motor controller SMC75. Typically, absolute-encoders are used when there is a need to continue operation immediately after power is re-applied to a machine or system — without first having to perform a zero-search reset. Another major reason for using absolute encoders is to correct motor position in relation to the actual physical absolute position measured by the SSI encoder.

JVL presents a step motor controller with RS485 and CANbus serial interface. 8 IO´s can be configured as inputs, outputs, or analogue input that can be controlled via a nanoPLC and MacTalk graphic programming. The very compact 57x57mm PCB contains everything required to solve a modern control task either as a stand-alone controller or controlled from a PLC or PC via serial commands or IO. MODBUS RTU and CANopen give the possibility for easy and fast connection to a PLC. For PC or IPC an ActiveX/OCX driver is available for simple interfacing to LABview, Excel, VB or other Windows programs. The SMC75 uses the same protocol as the MAC motors and can therefore be connected to the same RS485 bus system.

JVL has now launched its newest product: ‘QuickStep’ — the integrated step motor. QuickStep will be available in 2 models. The first to reach the market is a model with pulse and direction inputs. The second model will have a position controller with a serial interface, 8 IO´s, and an optional encoder and CANbus interface.

JVL has now launched its latest innovative product: “QuickStep”, the integrated step motor. The Pulse/Direction model of QuickStep was introduced some time ago with great success. This has now been supplemented with the introduction of a QuickStep model which provides a position controller, PLC facilities and a serial interface with optional encoder and CANopen interface. All electronics are integrated into the motor itself, providing a very compact and complete unit. This minimises cabling costs since machine sensors can be connected directly to the motor. Control cabinets can often be either totally redundant or significantly reduced in size.

A unique feature on the market for integrated servo drivers is the JVL MAC400 motor’s provision of both 3 x nominal torque at peak torque and full peak torque at all speeds.
