JVL Industri Elektronik A/S, a Danish company, now represented in Ohio, USA, announces a new expansion, CANopen, module for their MAC, Integrated AC Servo motors

A range of integrated AC servo motors makes JVL, now represented in Ohio, USA, a world leader in the field of motion control. The numerous features of these motors include a modular concept that makes it extremely easy to adapt the motors to a very wide range of applications.

JVL has developed a new module for the MAC50-141 and MAC800 series of integrated servo motors that enables the MAC motors to be used on Devicenet. The AC-servo motor, encoder, amplifier, positional controller and Devicenet are all built into the motor. The only connections required are a supply voltage and the Devicenet cables. The device type is a ”Position controller”, which is a standard method for controlling position when motion control is used on Devicenet.

JVL’s new additions to the fold comprise two complete, high-capacity MAC Servo Motors with ratings of 400W and 750W. These new products were first revealed at the Danish Herning Tech trade fair this year. The MAC motor consists of a complete servo system, including a high-dynamic AC servo motor, hall-sensor, encoder, power supply, driver and positioning controller, as well as facilities for incorporating various modules such as Profibus, CAN, Nano PLC, etc.

A Danish company, JVL Industri Elektronik A/S, now represented in Ohio, USA, has developed a completely new concept in motor control: the “MAC Motor”.

On march 2008, JVL, producer of a wide range of integrated stepper and servo motors, established its own office in Ohio in USA. The office will handle all sales and support for JVL products for the entire USA.

JVL’s nano-PLC module, which is compatible with all JVL MAC motors, has now been updated to provide extended functionality. The new features include a “Calculator” with +, -, *, and / operators via which all motor registers and variables can be included in calculations.
