Finding the balance between productivity and fuel consumption
Hyster Europe used data from telematics to create an analysis which offers insight into ways to reduce the cost per tonne moved. The overall conclusion is that productivity has a greater impact on Total Cost of Operation (TCO) compared to minimising fuel consumption. Whilst Hyster Container Handlers offer one of the lowest fuel consumption rates, this has been achieved without compromising productivity.

Hyster Europe has launched a compact Reach Truck series with a tilting mast, suited to warehouses where space is at a premium. By tilting the mast, the Hyster R1.0E, 1.2E and 1.4E Reach Trucks provide greater manoeuvrability, saving all-important centimetres so the truck can handle stock in even narrower aisles.

A new top lift Laden Container Handler has been launched by Hyster Europe, which is expected to increase productivity in busy ports and terminals, in line with increasing demands. Electric reachstacker developed for Port of Valencia
A zero-emission reachstacker featuring a hydrogen fuel cell is being developed by Hyster Europe for the Port of Valencia, as part of the European Horizon 2020 programme and H2Ports project. The port will be the first in Europe to incorporate hydrogen energy in its operations.

Hyster Europe has announced that its forthcoming Stage V compliant Big Truck range for European customers will be powered by Mercedes-Benz/ MTU engines.  “Our heavy industry and port customers in Europe who will require a Stage V driveline, can continue to expect highly efficient trucks with low fuel and DEF consumption, benefiting from high productivity levels and fast operations with the power available.” said Jan Willem van den Brand, Director Big Truck Product Strategy & Solutions at Hyster Europe.

Three types of lift truck attachments, with ten possible configurations, are now available straight from the factory as part of the original lift truck build, Hyster Europe has announced.  To meet the needs of many different industries, Hyster has added two factory-fit multi pallet handler attachments, plus a 360° rotator attachment. No matter which configuration is chosen, all provide quick interchange and come with a two year, or 4000-hour, warranty.
