High precision drive technology expert Harmonic Drive UK will showcase its range of planetary gearsat the Manufacturing & Engineering North East event at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena on July 7 and 8. Harmonic Drive can be found at stand number E8.

Harmonic Drive UK has launched a new series of extremely lightweight and compact gears for the next generation of robots. Targeting the semiconductor electronics market, the new CSD Component Set is equipped with a heavy duty cross roller bearing to deliver high payload performance in environments with limited space.

Harmonic Drive has combined high precision, compact design and reliability to create the new range of HPGP planetary gears. Unlike conventional planetary gears, the new series offers consistent high precision over its whole life even when operating at high speed or with low gear ratios. 

Targeting the demand for compact, lightweight and high capacity gears, Harmonic Drive has created the CSF-Mini series of gearboxes. Developed with versatile output options, the range opens up exciting applications in the robotics industry, where gearing technology is a hugely important factor.

It will be used in precise positioning applications, particularly in sectors like factory automation and medical technology manufacturing.

At the Engineering Design Show, 22nd to 23rd October in Coventry, Harmonic Drive will exhibit a range of compact and hollow shaft servo actuators. These include the LynxDrive, CHA-14 and CHA-17 lightweight hollow shaft models.

Harmonic Drive has announced a new lightweight Hollow Shaft Servo Actuators. Used in industrial applications where high accuracy, high torque and low weight are essential, the new CHA-14 and CHA-17 actuators go one step further by introducing a central hollow shaft. This aids original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in minimising complexity in varied industrial applications such as offshore oil and gas, broadcast, automation and robotics.
