ES Technology Limited, the United Kingdom distributor for the comprehensive range of DILAS diode laser components, has announced the development by DILAS of a high brightness, conduction-cooled fiber-coupled diode laser module.

The latest addition to the DILAS portfolio, now available from ES Technology, is the new COMPACT diode laser system. This new system offers two power options, 300W from a 200µm fibre or alternatively 400W from a 300µm fibre at 980nm.

ES Technology Limited now have available a 62 page colour catalogue detailing the comprehensive new range of laser safety eyewear and filtered windows, produced by leading European manufacturer UNIVET srl.

In September of this year ES Technology, UK and Ireland distributors for UNIVET srl, introduced a trade in discount scheme on replacement laser safety frames and goggles. The success of this initiative means that the offer has now been extended. This now makes it even easier to replace worn and damaged Laser Safety Eyewear. The 25% “Be Safe and Save” trade-in discount, based on the European list price, applies to all new safety frames and goggles purchased before the end of December 2009.

The VIN Mark 30 Laser System has been designed and manufactured by ES Technology to meet the specific needs of the automotive industry, for the production of tamper evident self adhesive labels. Laser marked tamper proof labels have now replaced the traditional metal plaques which were once commonly used for vehicle VIN plates (Vehicle Identification Number). These plates were generally riveted to the inside of the engine compartment, but were extremely easy to remove thus making it possible to quickly give a stolen vehicle a “New” identity. Manufacturers now use up to 17 separate identity and information labels on a single vehicle, each of which is self adhesive and tamper evident. These new labels are produced from materials which are ideally suited to the automotive, electronics and security fields.
