A cloud-connected radar, which provides full transparency in the storage and transport of liquids has been released by Endress & Hauser.

Two vibrating fork (vibronic) level instruments have been released by Endress+Hauser. The FTL51B features Industry 4.0 and IIoT capabilities, including access via wireless Bluetooth technology, automatic proof tests and verification, and easy commissioning via a mobile device.

Endress+Hauser have announced two analysers for power industry applications: the CA76NA monitors sodium, while the CA80SI analyses for silica in boiler feedwater, steam, condensate and ion exchangers. Each analyser can accept up to six sampling inputs.

Endress+Hauser has announced the Liquiline System CA80HA hardness analyser to provide precise online analysis of water hardness in drinking water and process water. It helps optimise the control of water softening processes such as ion exchange or reverse osmosis, ensures quality of products influenced by water hardness, and analyses feedwater used in boilers.

The winner of this year's HERMES AWARD, one of the world’s most prestigious industry awards, is Endress+Hauser. The award was presented by German’s Federal Minister of Education and Research, Anja Karliczek, at the official Opening Ceremony for HANNOVER MESSE on 22nd April.

Introducing the Liquiline CA80TP phosphorus analyser, Endress+Hauser have designed it for monitoring industrial wastewater, and inlet and outlet streams of municipal wastewater treatment plants. The CA80TP uses a thermal digestion technique along with colourimetric analysis, requiring only a small quantity of reagents. With online measurement there is no waiting for time-consuming lab analysis.

After the horrific month just gone bringing Hurricane Harvey and Irma, Endress+Hauser and its partner for Sales and Service, Vector Controls, are over in Texas to help the plants assess damage, troubleshoot problems, replace damaged instrumentation, and get chemical plants and refineries back up and running – safely and quickly.

An amperometricFree Chlorine Analysis Systems has been introduced by Endress+Hauser and is compliant to EPA Method 334.0. The systems eliminate the need for costly reagents and accompanying required maintenance, making the system suited for applications in drinking water, industrial water, power and other industries where water is disinfected using chlorine.

An update to the IIoT application for tank inventory management, has been released by Endress+Hauser, SupplyCare 3.0. SupplyCare provides a complete overview of levels and product inventory in a company’s tanks and silos worldwide. Enhancements in SupplyCare 3.0 include hardware and software options allowing level, flow and pressure data to be displayed at a desk or handheld device regardless of location—and advanced inventory tools for forecasting, reporting, stock analysis and other functions.

A pressure test rig has been installed as Endress+Hauser has invested nearly $1m in its headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana, US. The rig allows it to test complete instrument assemblies to customer specifications, and provides a 100% test indicating a specific instrument can withstand the design process pressure, up to 15,000psi.

Accreditation status has been awarded to Endress+Hauser, by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). IACET Accredited Providers are the only organisations approved to offer IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The accreditation period extends for five years, and includes all programmes offered or created during that time.

A family of industry optimised ‘smart’ Coriolis mass and electromagnetic flow instruments have been released by Endress+Hauser, the Proline 300/500, which simplify installation, speed commissioning, and streamline both operation and maintenance activities.

The Cerabar PMP11, 21 and 23 pressure transducers have been introduced by Endress+Hauser that measure up to 6,000psi and are factory spanable to specific application requirements. The transducers are available with threaded or welded hygienic process connections, meet a variety of industry standards including FDA, FM, IEC and Ex, and provide 4-20mA or 0-10VDC output signals.

Endress+Hauser, named the Main Instrument Vendor (MIV) by Refineria de Cartagena (Reficar) in Cartagena, Colombia, supplied more than 2,800 flow and level measurement devices to support a $3.8 billion refinery expansion and modernization project.

Endress+Hauser releases the Liquipoint FTW33 point level switch for liquids. Designed for hygienic processes, the FTW33 meets FDA requirements as well as 3A Sanitary Standard Number 74. It can be used in pipes; and in storage, mixing and process vessels, with or without an agitator.

Endress+Hauser introduces the OUSBT66 sensor for cell density measurement. Using near-Infrared light absorbance technology, the OUSBT66 is a non-intrusive, hygienic sensor that is ideal for real time, in-situ cell production optimization in life science processes, fermentation biomass measurement and algae growth monitoring for biofuel production.

Endress+Hauser announces its June 2013 schedule of instrumentation training courses. Classes typically are a combination of classroom and hands-on training on either the Endress+Hauser Process Training Unit, a full-scale, working process skid with on-line instrumentation and controls, or live instruments in training stands, both designed to simulate operating conditions.

Endress+Hauser announces the launch of its new End User Academy, which allows field technicians to gain the valuable training they need to run plant operations safely, smoothly and more efficiently—all without spending too much time away from their regular job duties. Through its online training modules that cover theory and concepts as prerequisites, the End User Academy gives field technicians the preparation needed to successfully begin on-site and classroom training.

Endress+Hauser announces Operations App for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad mobile devices. An Android version will be released soon. The free App lets instrument engineers and maintenance technicians quickly download specific documentation such as operating instructions and technical information for Endress+Hauser instruments and analyzers, and data from the Endress+Hauser Life Cycle Management program.

Endress+Hauser released the Proline Promag L800 battery-powered electromagnetic flowmeter, an ideal flow measurement device for use in remote sites in water and wastewater systems. The flowmeter has an integrated GSM/GPRS cellphone system that allows data, such as alarms or totalizer counts, to be transmitted as an email over the cellphone network.
