Endress+Hauser and Rockwell Automation announce the opening of a new Process Training Unit (PTU) in Philadelphia, PA. The Process Training Unit features Endress+Hauser instruments and the Rockwell Automation PlantPAx process automation system designed for the purpose of educating field technicians, engineers, and sales personnel. The PTU provides a unique learning experience through hands-on activities. Participants learn the application, installation, operation and diagnostic procedures related to many types of process instrumentation and control processes. Endress+Hauser officially opened a new Temperature production facility in Greenwood, Indiana, today. The 12,000 sq ft manufacturing plant will build temperature sensors, thermowells, transmitters, recorders, flow computers, safety barriers, displays and other instrumentation to meet the increasing demand for Endress+Hauser instrumentation in North America and South America.

Endress+Hauser is now accredited to ISO17025 by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for both laboratory and field calibration of process instrumentation. Their new LaPorte Calibration and Service Center in LaPorte, Texas is the main laboratory; the accreditation covers both laboratory calibrations in LaPorte as well as field calibrations at a customer’s location. Endress+Hauser is the only process instrument manufacturer with the ability to provide both lab and field accredited calibrations.

Migrating an agrochemical producer’s existing installed base of pH analyzers to Endress+Hauser’s Memosens and Liquiline technology platforms increased pH data reliability, decreased downtime, and increased production. Substantial savings were realized: Specifically, maintenance labor was reduced by 50% and consumable usage was cut by 60%, producing savings of more than $450,000 per year.
