Seven models are available in the range, covering load capacities from 0.8 to 9 tonnes, with all units available with optional visual and aural overload detection devices. Typically used for load tie-downs in freighting or transportation applications, they can also be used for lifting and pulling operations in civil and general engineering, construction, shipbuilding, bridge building and even forestry.
Grade 100 (1000N/mm2) nickel plated chains, which are resistant to corrosion and wear, are used throughout the range. These provide 1.5 metre lift/pull as standard with extra length chains also available. A simple knob adjustment frees the chain for quick chain adjustment, with a unique built-in safeguard against inadvertent free wheeling under load. A positive braking mechanism is also incorporated, comprising two moisture-resistant and asbestos-free brake pads with four braking surfaces, together with two brake pawls for added reliability and safety.
The high-strength frame is subject to induction hardening on load-supporting parts, with increased material thickness used for an extremely strong and rigid assembly. The load hook features a guard to provide protection at the chain attachment point, with the extra strong support and load hooks also incorporating secure closure features. Optional support hooks for special tip loading applications, as experienced in shipbuilding, can also be supplied.
Kito clips can also be supplied where the lever blocks are used in conjunction with wire ropes. These clips can be easily attached at any point on the rope, providing a non-slip attachment when a pull force is exerted.
For lightweight applications, the Kito LX series lever blocks can also be supplied, rated at 250 and 500kg loads.
