As well as supplying to large players in the food and processing industries, Advanced Engineering also has small and start-up companies amongst its customers. One such company is London-based Jollofé Ltd, a specialist in providing prepared meals with ‘the authentic taste of Africa’ that includes diplomatic missions, hospitals, councils, schools and superstores amongst its regular clients.
Not content with this success, Christine-Ade Olatunji managing director of Jollofé decided to launch a new product that could be supplied to both professional caterers and the retail consumer.
The new product is called ‘Tom-áta’; a tomato sauce with a special blend of herbs and spices sourced from the rich diverse regions of Africa that can act as a base for various meals.
To prepare the initial small batch requirements, Christine-Ade Olatunji contacted a number of mixer manufacturers/suppliers for a 200 litre mixing vessel complete with appropriate mixing capability. Some did not bother to reply whilst others simply said ‘this is our list, pick one!’
In contrast, Advanced Engineering visited the company to discuss the application, drew-up a proposal and supplied a custom-built, turn-key solution. The package comprised the 200 litre vessel with a bottom-entry mixer for the initial coarse mixing phase, and an in-line mixer to reduce the ingredients to a smooth sauce, and a control panel, all mounted on a wheeled trolley for easy movement around the factory.
”Advanced Engineering is a company that believes in going the extra mile,” said Christine-Ade Olatunji. “Service and attention to a customer’s needs together with competitive pricing make AE an exceptional company.”
