SoftInWay, a global leader in turbomachinery design software and training, announces its participation in the 39th Turbomachinery Symposium that will take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, Texas, USA, on October 4-7. The company invites engineers to visit Booth #1225 to be presented a new approach to design of multistage centrifugal compressors.

During the symposium the SoftInWay team will be demonstrating many features of AxSTREAM 3.0 Software Suite for multistage centrifugal compressor design, including:

- Preliminary Design Space Explorer to discover correlation between design parameters and performance.
- Possibility to review fields of pressures, temperatures, enthalpies and velocities.
- Controlled Extractions. Pressure controlled Surge valve, fixed flow rate extraction. Recycle extractions.
- Possibility to simulate interstage cooling for multistage industrial turbomachines.
- Variable vane restaggering. Different types of restaggering control. Usage of restaggering schedule.
- “Live” 3D blade shape editing.

“The latest updates in AxSTREAM 3.0 resulted from a real-life engineering experience and numerous case studies, – stated Leonid Moroz, SoftInWay President and CEO. – They are focused on assisting engineers with solving such critical tasks, as designing a radial turbomachinery flow path using a limited number of parameters, developing 3D blade shapes for maximum reliability etc. We are proud to having found new approaches to quick and accurate design of multistage centrifugal compressors and look forward to sharing them with all engineers dedicated to excellence in the turbomachinery industry.”

SoftInWay’s presentation will be especially interesting to engineers involved in maintenance, repair and overhauls of centrifugal compressors, as well as to mechanical and aerospace academics or anyone in need of a broad-based introduction to the latest turbomachinery design trends.
