SoftInWay invites engineers to take part in free 1-hour webinar: Design of High Efficiency Steam Turbine in AxSTREAM that will take place on Thursday, October 21, 2010, at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. EST.
The webinar is dedicated to a step-by-step mechanism of steam turbine development, paying particular attention to the influence of different factors on turbine efficiency at the following stages of design:
1D Preliminary design
• Influence of the number of stages on efficiency
• Influence of limitations on diameters (shroud and hub)
2D Streamline analysis
• Influence of custom axial and radial clearances
• Influence of compound tangential lean angle
3D Calculation
• Influence of blade shape on stresses and Campbell diagram (for example, comparison of beam theory calculation with FEA calculation – i.e. comparison of proved calculation methods with the newer ones)
• Influence of 3D blade shape on flow in channels (using CFD calculation)
After the webinar the attendees will be able to discuss the presentation material with SoftInWay’s engineering experts in the course of an open forum.
