Drawing on its 24 years of experience in designing optoelectronic helmets, Sperian Protection has developed the Optrel p500 range of protective helmets that meet the needs of professional and occasional welders.
Strong design is an essential part of today’s world, and the welding market is no exception. Welders are increasingly demanding protective equipment that combines performance, design and quality but at an attractive price.
To meet this demand, Sperian Protection has launched a series of seven interchangeable lateral inserts compatible with its Optrel p500 range. Thanks to this new concept, welders can now easily change their helmet design.
With this new line of professional helmets, welders can personalise their welding helmets (company logo, hobbies, etc.) in keeping with their own image. The possibilities are endless since Sperian Protection can produce bespoke lateral inserts on request.
In addition to customisation, comfort was also a priority. To comply with all technical specifications, the new product line offers numerous advantages: An Optrel telescopic headband and lightweight shell that optimises the distribution of the helmet’s weight over the head, thereby limiting tension in the neck and nape. Two additional features: a sensitivity control knob for the auto-darkening filter, which can be adjusted according to the welding procedure, and a transition delay knob that controls the transition speed from dark to light after welding. Plus, an optimised field of vision thanks to bigger optoelectronic cells (50x110mm).
This new design provides welders with protective equipment that is comfortable, attractive, ergonomic and lightweight. Another feature is that the Optrel p500 range includes two-colour helmets. Four colourways are currently available: white/black; black/white, black/green and untreated black.
The Optrel p500 product range comprises of three welding lens options, two optoelectronic and one passive, covering many applications and requirements of the welding industry: Optrel p550 DIN 4/9-13; Optrel p530 DIN 4/11 and Optrel p505 passive DIN 11.
