New Website Confirmed To Jobs in Welding
Weldability-Sif has launched and is supporting a brand new website www.UKWeldingJobs.com to help skilled welders, technicians, tutors and technical, sales and marketing professionals, to connect with industry employers, as the UK's only centralised database of welding professionals and suitable opportunities.
According to the Office of National Statistics over the last five years, nearly a quarter of all registered and certified welders in the UK have left the industry. This represents a decline of 18,000 welders. With only 58,000 UK welders, the UK Borders Agency has placed high integrity pipe welders with three-plus years experience on the occupational shortage list.

The new website is free to use for welders, fitters, supervisors, engineers, inspectors, tutors, technical or sales and marketing professionals, who need only to register at www.UKWeldingJobs.com to match the jobs with their skills and connect with the job opportunities and people that need them. Applicants can create their profile by inputting their details and welder qualifications.

Adrian Hawkins, Managing Director at Weldability-Sif said: “This is a brand new website for welding professionals wishing to seek out the best opportunities available to improve and develop their careers and for employers to identify and communicate with these highly skilled individuals. To-day, UK manufacturing has to search the World for trained and qualified workers to undertake welding projects, which is a costly exercise and as the Association of Welding Distribution has reported the UK will need at least another 38,000 welders to meet UK demand.”
