Interalia’s New Sbx Delivers Xmu+ Functionality At An Affordable Price
Interalia, a leader in the design and manufacture of call processing and voice announcement solutions, single board version of its highly acclaimed XMU+ system, SBX, provides all of the functionality of the powerful XMU+ at an exceptional price. Ideal for companies requiring small (8 port or under) ACD announcement, call processing and music/marketing-on-hold and dial-by-name functionality, the SBX has eight analogue ports, two MOH outputs and one MOH input on a single board.
The SBX works seamlessly with all major telephone systems to provide a multitude of applications. It can process calls, prompt callers for information or play a variety of interesting ACD announcements until an agent is available. It can transfer calls when operators are not available, re-directing to ACD queues, IVR ports, departments, voicemail or information messages.

The SBX delivers efficient and affordable automated attendant functionality to outside callers and internal staff. It prompts callers for the extension they want, then quickly routes the call to that location or to the requested audiotext information. Each of the ports can be configured as a passive ACD announcement line, or an interactive line with a menu structure. The integrated MOH ports help businesses capture the attention of on-hold callers by playing music or blending promotional messages with recorded music.

Although it cannot eliminate on-hold time, the SBX can make this time more entertaining and informative. In a single platform it delivers up to 8 ports of ACD announcements without requiring a dedicated port for each message. Each time the caller enters the queue, a different ACD announcement can be played, informing and entertaining the caller. These messages may provide product information, promote services or educate callers about the company. In addition the SBX gives call centers the ability to time and date stamp messages up to one year in advance.

When offices or stores close the SBX continues to answer calls and transfer callers to extensions, provide information, or even transfer calls to other offices in different parts of the world. In addition, the SBX enables regular announcements to be switched to pre-recorded emergency messages, quickly alerting callers of problems such as system failures or emergency situations.

Through its interactive audiotext functionality, the SBX can provide answers to frequently asked questions such as opening hours, locations, services and special promotions. Ideal for a range of applications including student information lines, 24-hour health information, concert and sporting events, human resources, etc, the interactive audiotext has many benefits.

The Interalia SBX easily interfaces with hotel telephone systems to play announcements for guest wake-up calls. Hotels can inform guests about dining room specials, tours, weather forecasts, and hotel facilities.

Using XMUCOM+, a simple “point and click” windows based administration software suite, the SBX allows administrators to easily download message or configuration files to multiple SBX systems via an RS-232 connection or networked TCP/IP connection. The system’s access feature also allows an administrator at a remote location to access the SBX by a touch-tone phone. Once a connection is made, using DTMF tones, the administrator can remotely manage their messages or implement the SBX’s emergency mode.

Like the XMU+, the SBX also has the optional facility to extend the systems functionality with the addition of Message Manager. Users can easily manage their messages directly from their desktop without a dedicated telephone line. Interalia has taken the power of remote telephone access and created a simplified message management tool that enables even non-technical staff to easily record, delete or play messages remotely from their desktop.

Available as 4 or 8 analogue port options, the SBX also includes FLASH memory, stores messages in .wav file format and has Windows-based management software with an easy to use Graphical User Interface. The addition of built-in modem and TCP/IP connection ensures that the affordable SBX will be a winner with SME’s, hotels, small call centres and companies preferring to use multiple units instead of one large system.

The SBX is manufactured and tested by Interalia under ISO certified guidelines and is backed by a company renowned for its quality, reliability and outstanding support.
