Flextraction On Trade Mission To Germany

Flextraction, who are now successfully exporting to France from a similar mission in 2011, joined the UK Trade and Investment mission with the sole purpose of finding potential agents and distributors for their own design range of totally self supporting Hood Positioning Devices, the Flextractor HPD, Extended HPD, Mini HPD and Flextender HPD, all incorporating mounting brackets, hoods and hoses for the capture and extraction of industrial dusts and fumes including hazardous and corrosive fumes at the point of source. The mission ended very successfully with Lee getting an order from one German agent for his equipment.

Lee Darton said: “We started to look at the German market last year when we ordered through the UKTI an Overseas Market Introduction Service report on Germany and in November 2012 we took the decision to take on a German placement student at our facilities in Melton Mowbray to help us get to know and better understand the market. On the Trade Mission, I received a tremendous amount of interest in our HPD products, which are designed to be used in a multitude of industrial applications, including surface grinding, welding, product tipping and drum filling as well as food processing and other manufacturing applications, where dust and fumes are emitted.

We are now busy processing the contacts made and I am looking forward to taking part in the next stage of the mission which will be to establish a sound working relationship with a company that can sell our products into the German market.”
