Renishaw’s new PH20 five-axis head for touch-trigger measurement on co-ordinate measuring machines (CMMs) has won the MM Award for ‘Most Innovative Measurement System’ at the AMB 2010 exhibition held in Stuttgart, Germany. The MM Awards are presented by the leading German trade magazine MM Maschinenmarkt and entries for the nine categories of award are open to any of the 1,100 exhibitors participating at AMB, which is Germany’s leading national exhibition for the metalworking industry

Fluke, is offering two money-saving process tool kits until the end of 2010, while stocks last. The new TEC-V7X lens from Computar offers dual functionality. Designed for use with high resolution cameras up to 5 megapixels with 1/1.1 inch image sensors, this versatile lens operates both as a 7X macro zoom lens with 0.07X to 0.5X magnification and as a telecentric lens within the 0.25X to 0.5X magnification range. It provides excellent brightness throughout the zoom range, maintaining 70% illumination at both centre and corners.

Edbro, the number one supplier of hydraulic truck tipping hoists, has launched a new high voltage alert system designed to protect drivers and equipment from power line contact and other potential electrical hazards. Using a simple detection antenna, the high voltage alert senses when a tipper is dangerously close to power lines and emits audio and visual warnings to the driver.
