Rittal-CSM, the UK manufacturing facility of Rittal recently held a strategic supplier conference in Plymouth where representatives were briefed on the operational changes needed to ensure that Rittal continues to remain focused on its core capabilities.

Rittal have introduced a new range of horizontally cooled housings for CompactPCI or VME systems. Complete with integrated power supply and climate control features, the 19” rack mounted Slim-Box Vario offers a powerful solution for small electronic enclosures.

Specifying the right enclosure for the right application can depend on a number of variables such as size, environment and material used. However accessories which are used to customise an enclosure, can play a strategic part in determining its performance. Rittal has expanded their MicroTCA product range with the addition of an MTCA Cube. The rugged Cube offers a simple, efficient architecture capable of handling up to 6 AMCs and an MCH (MicroTCA Carrier Hub), plus the resources required to power, cool and support them.

Rittal introduce its latest technical support tool, the Comfort Panel Configurator. This new tool allows the configuration of individual prototypes for the Human Machine Interface (HMI) to be performed with ease, by utilising a simple selection process. On completion of the configuration a visual presentation and 3D CAD model can be displayed, in the format of choice, which can then be imported into machines or plant design.

Sensitive communications and electronic equipment housed in an outdoor location requires extra protection from external influences, such as temperature variations in order to maintain full functionality. Rittal have introduced a new series of enclosures, the CS Toptec outdoor range, which has been specifically designed to safeguard the internal components from the external environment.

Rittal RiLine NH on-load isolators provide safe, reliable isolation protection from down-stream electrical equipment. Available either with or without fuse monitoring, the isolators range from 100 to 630 amps (60mm), sizes 000 to 3 and can be easily mounted directly onto Rittal’s range of busbar systems.
