Rittal’s RiLine60 shrouded busbar system has been developed to distribute power up to 1600A and with an extensive range of adaptors allows design engineers total flexibility. Fast assembly means the system is ideally suited for power switchgear systems and automation control panels.

Laempe & Mössner is equipping its core shooting machines with Rittal’s support arm and housing systems. Processes within the system are managed by a programmable logic controller. The human-machine interface comprises a panel PC with a touch screen, which enables the user to operate the equipment and to monitor current status.

Rittal have launched a major upgrade to their RPE design software, complemented by the IEC 61439 guide book, which covers aspects of the standard that effect all control panels. The new version 6.2 provides the ability to design motor control centres, electrical switchgear, control panels and generate bill of material, costs and designs that comply with the latest IEC 61439 switchgear standards.

Rittal has claimed that it is the first manufacturer to ensure automatic potential equalisation as a standard with its CP 60/120/180 support arm system, without any extra work and additional costs to users. With this support arm system, all the rotating elements have so-called sliding contacts to ensure a reliable electrical contact throughout the entire system.

  Ensuring operators can monitor their machine at any time, the support arm range from Rittal enables control panels to be easily and accurately turned, lifted and swivelled. Rittal’s support arm system 60/120/180 covers all the load ranges up to 180kg in one uniform design.

Rittal was one of the largest exhibitors at this years CeBIT Exhibition recently held in Hanover, Germany. During a visit to the stand by the German and Polish premiers, Rittal took the opportunity to demonstrate some of the countless new Rittal products on display.

Developed especially for high MTBF applications requiring protection against vandalism, a new double-walled WK 4 outdoor enclosure is now available from Rittal. Giving optimum protection against unauthorised access to DIN EN V 1630:1999-04, the new CS outdoor stainless steel enclosure meets the requirements of burglar resistance class WK 4.

Rittal continue to improve the energy efficiency of enclosure climate control solutions by incorporating ever more innovative technologies into their cooling products. The Eco-mode control system from Rittal employs an intelligent strategy to effectively target the use of energy by disabling the internal fan when the temperature inside the enclosure falls to 10° K below the setpoint temperature. The fan is then enabled for a period of 30 seconds every 10 minutes to ensure the accuracy of the sensed temperature. When the temperature rises above 10° K below the setpoint, the fan is permanently enabled.

Rittal is expanding its range of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) with the PMC 40 and PMC 120 in the extra dimension of 600x200x800 mm.
