Ultra-high resolution thermography
There is much activity in the world thermography market with the advent of toy systems available for ultra-low prices, but delivering ultra-low capabilities. Armstrong Optical Ltd of Northampton has benefited from sales at the bottom-end of an expanding market but is now extending its product offering beyond the top-end by introducing the VarioCAM® range of cameras from InfraTec GmbH of Dresden.
This range of ultra-high performance thermography cameras currently offers performance beyond any existing thermography camera on the market. With thermal resolution as low as 0.035°C and spatial resolution as high as 1280x960 pixels, a range of lenses from wide-angle to telephoto plus a whole raft of other features the VarioCAM offers real professional capabilities to the real thermography professionals.

Professional thermographers in markets such as building inspection, predictive maintenance, electronics testing and medical examinations now have a choice to make. Either use low cost thermography cameras and suffer the possibility of compromised results or use a system where the results can be relied upon each and every time.

According to Ian Johnstone, Sales & Marketing Director of Armstrong Optical: “......for anyone involved with the professional thermography the VarioCAM range will soon pay back the investment as it is a camera that leaves all other s floundering in its wake.......”
