Livingston has further expanded its vast rental inventory in order to include the flagship signal and spectrum analyser from Rohde & Schwarz. The addition of the R&SFSW presents engineering professionals with access to a state-of-the-art product that offers copious analysis bandwidth. Livingston can offer flexible rental solutions if you only need such equipment for a limited time.
Also during the rental/leasing period any operational costs like; calibration, insurance, maintenance are taken care of. It means you have the flexibility to return the item whenever the need for it has come to an end.
The R&S FSW boasts industry-leading figures in relation to both phase noise (-137dBc at 10kHz carrier offset) and dynamic range (88dBc with noise cancellation), plus it can carry out 1000 measurement sweeps per second. This means that engineers can explore and evaluate wideband-modulated or frequency agile signal traces. Aimed at the analysis of the complex signals from next generation mobile networks, wireless LAN systems, satellite communication infrastructure and radar equipment, this instrument is able to rapidly determine the presence of spurious emissions, deal with wideband frequency hopping signals and accurately track short pulses with very brief rise and fall times.
This high performance signal/spectrum analyser solution can be supplied in a variety frequency range options - from 2Hz to 8/13.6/26.5/43.5/50/67GHz. When accompanied by an external harmonic mixer, available from Rohde & Schwarz via Livingston, this upper limit can be boosted still further to reach the 110GHz mark. The unit has under 0.4dB total measurement uncertainty for any frequency below 8GHz.
While with conventional signal and spectrum analysers different standards (GSM, CDMA2000, WCDMA, LTE, etc.) are measured separately, the R&S FSW has the capacity to measure multiple standards simultaneously. This translates into far greater efficiency when it comes to identifying and eliminating anomalies arising through interaction between different signals.
The 12.1" format, touch-enabled display incorporated into each unit provides a highly intuitive and simple to operate UI. By utilising its MultiView function, a series of measurements can be displayed alongside one another in separate windows - thereby making it easier to consult different sets of results in a quick, convenient manner and minimising the risk of errors of judgement occurring.
