Programmable CMM system automates shop floor inspection

Verisurf increases the accuracy of the Renishaw Equator with Cubic Volumetric Mapping. The unique software technology utilises a 24 parameter calculation to volumetrically error map the 3D measurement volume and creates a compensation table with tri-cubic interpolation that makes the Verisurf error-corrected Equator significantly more accurate. Every CMM Master comes with calibration certificate and because the accuracy is improved through software, all Equator warranties remain intact.

The light weight and compact solution runs on single phase power with no need for costly compressed air supply. CMM Master can easily be configured for use on the shop floor or in the QA lab.

Featuring online and offline part programming, CMM Master enables programmes to be created offline from CAD or online in 'teach' mode using the CMM joystick. Multiple part alignment allow parts to be aligned from simple 3-2-1 feature fitting or iterative best fit. Simulate measurement routines including probe scanning help prevent potential CMM crashes before they occur.

The automated shop floor inspection system features flexible reporting options. It can automatically generate AS9102 First Article Inspection Report, while inspection data can be exported to other popular presentation formats including, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Adobe 3D PDF Viewer.
