Toshiba has added a new remote head camera to its highly successful series of CMOS-Full-HD devices. The small and lightweight remote head (IK-HR1H) measures just 30 x 30 x 36mm and weighs only 50g without the lens, giving great flexibility for broadcast applications.
The C-mount remote head features a 1/3 colour 1920 x 1080 pixel CMOS sensor providing up to full HD signals and can be located up to 10m from the control unit. The IK-HR1CD (DVI) offers outputs of 1080p/1080i/720p and the IK-HR1CS (HDSDI) 1080i/720p. Both can be connected securely with locking screws using standard 3m, 5m or 10m power over CameraLink (PoCL) cables. The excellent signal-noise ratio ensures high-resolution and high-definition images.

Control and configuration of the camera is through the on-screen display or remotely via RS232. Other features include auto exposure and auto white balance to allow for large variations in scene lighting.
