DUAL CERTIFIED EXPLOSION PROOF DIGITAL CAMERA … first to include a detachable macro lens
Everything that a professional inspector or consultant could want from an explosion-proof digital camera comes as standard with the latest addition to the CorDEX range. The new Centurion XP Dual, from this British developer of hazardous area instrumentation, is ATEX certified for use both above and below ground. And unlike other cameras it is supplied with two interchangeable lenses for high accuracy close-up and wide-angle imaging.
The Centurion XP Dual is in fact the only ATEX Certified Explosion Proof digital camera available for hazardous environments that enables the capture of crystal clear images at distances of between 50mm and 100mm with a standard macro lens. A typical use would be the documentation of detail on equipment rating plates. This enhances the scope of the camera, adds value to the inspection and allows visual records to be more comprehensive.

Equally suited for use in the petrochemical or mining environment, the XP Dual captures still images at a user-selectable resolution up to 10 Mega pixels. AVI movie capability is also standard providing a resolution of 640 x 480 at 30fps. The camera’s 4Gb memory allows high capacity image and movie storage and both can be downloaded via high speed USB in a safe area.

The standard features also include 4x zoom, autotimer, scene modes, white balance and two illumination options for low light working conditions. The high intensity strobe flash enables wide angle illumination for still shots whilst the detachable low intensity LED lamp is designed for close-up shots and movie capture.

Housed in a permanent anti-static over mould, the Centurion XP Dual has a rugged feel and is supplied with a removable/rechargeable battery, charging station, communication wand, battery removal tool, optical accessory adaptor, macro lens, wide-angle lens, LED lamp and a hard transport case completes the kit.
