Immediate availability of the new Blackwater Level Sensor has been announced by Gill Sensors & Controls. The sensor's technology has been specifically developed to meet increased regulatory requirements for both black and gray water storage and processing and is suitable for use in a variety of industrial applications such as waste water treatment facilities, pumping and lift station remote monitoring, and in plant processing. 

Through its UK distribution partnership with measurement technology leaders Novotechnik, Variohm EuroSensor supplies and supports linear and rotary sensors that feature the standardised communications protocol IO-Link. With real-time collection of machine data a fundamental part of Industry 4.0, the IEC 61131-9 communications standard provides fast and secure updates to and from the field level - not just for positional data but also for status and diagnostic information.

Playing a big role in improving the throughput, quality and packing density of wire bonding machines as used by manufacturers of micro-electronic devices, is the tiny vacuum encoder, the MicroE Mercury II encoder by Celera Motion. Available in the UK from INMOCO, the encoder is one-third the size of other encoders, yet is easy to install and set up.

In order to be able to accurately determine the inclination of machinery or machinery components, tecsis now has a wide range of inclination sensors. The sensors operate using a dielectric liquid, the surface of which always aligns itself horizontally by means of gravity, similarly to a spirit level. The liquid is located between two circular electrodes, one of which is divided into two semicircles. The space between them is half-filled with the liquid. When the sensor rotates, the capacities between the two semicircular electrodes at one side and the counter-electrode at the other side change.
