A high-density, long-distance Panasonic pyroelectric sensor that complements and extends the EKMB and EKMC series of PIR Motion Sensors (PaPIRs) is available at TTI. It is ideal for use in all types of lighting control equipment, offices, high-bay motion sensors for warehouses, public and industrial buildings plus street lighting and security cameras.

Two non-contacting models have been added by Variohm EuroSensor to its wide range of high accuracy angle encoders. Both are from Variohm´s Swiss distribution partner, Contelec AG, and feature separate magnet and sensor components for continuous rotation in a two-part design that requires no mechanical bearing or joint - and with no wearing parts and IP68 protection class, they offer an effectively limitless mechanical working life.

The Sensor + Test exhibition in Nuremberg provided the platform for Pyreos to unveil its ezPyro TO flame sensor with a digital interface. It offers longer distance detection and an impressive field of vision exemplified by CEO Andrew Wallace using a lighter flame virtually sideways on from a distance of six feet and still drawing a response from the sensor.

The HPM series particle sensor from Honeywell can now be sourced in Europe through TTI. The product is designed to work in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and consumer products such air purifiers to measure air quality in homes, buildings and public spaces.

Expanding its range of pressure sensors, Variohm EuroSensor has introduced the new and robust EPT7100 series featuring 316 grade stainless steel wetted parts and an integral Packard connector for durability and convenient installation at competitive cost. With a choice of four hermetically sealed pressure ports and five standard pressure range options from 0.01 to 10 bar, the EPT7100 is a suitable choice for gas or liquid pressure measurement for on- and off-highway automotive, HVAC, compressors, industrial hydraulics and more.

New stainless steel housings for all currently available sensors and encoders have been announced by Joral LLC. Specifically designed to ensure total protection from extreme temperature fluctuation, corrosive environments, and pressure wash down. Joral stainless steel sensors are built to provide the greatest environmental protection available to provide maximum productivity.

Already partnering with a number of global component manufacturers, Heason has announced one of its distribution partners, Zettlex, has recently added a high pressure option to its comprehensive range of durable inductive angle encoders - which in turn expands the application potential for positioners and actuators for use in subsea, oil and gas and industrial high pressure process environments.

Specialist industrial motor manufacturer Solutions Engineering in Stoke on Trent is able to test the performance of its motors, having built a test station to its own specification based around a piezo electric torque transducer. It manufactures a range of bespoke slip ring motors for driving equipment such as vibrators and pumps, currently in sizes 4kW to 55kW but with plans for larger units in the future.

The new optical sensors designed for longer operating distances from Pepperl+Fuchs, are better known as the R200 and R201 designs. The forward-thinking product design of the photoelectric sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs enables applications with longer operating distances. Just like the compact R100, R101, and R103 series, both new products consistently offer all photoelectric functional principles in a design that is now larger and suitable for specific mounting situations.

Leuze electronic is expanding its range of distance sensors and now offers customers a solution for specific applications in pallet warehouses. The new ODS 110/HT 110 and HRT 25B L distance sensors from Leuze electronic, means the company is expanding its series of distance sensors and offering customers a large selection of different designs with long operating ranges and several switching points available.
