The BMA400 accelerometer from Bosch Sensortec has been added to the Rutronik UK portfolio. It features ultra-low power consumption without compromising on performance. The accelerometer allows continuous, low-noise measurement of motion on three axes with 12-bit digital resolution and several selectable bandwidths.

The PXV 2-D absolute positioning system from Pepperl+Fuchs reaches new performance heights when it comes to reliability and handling. With its large reading window, the system keeps a sufficient number of codes in view, even in relation to track switches and changes to the code tape. According to Pepperl+Fuchs precise positioning is guaranteed at all times.

Extending its portfolio of environmental sensing solutions, Rutronik UK is now offering the B5W-LD0101 air quality sensor from Omron. Designed to detect particulate matter measuring less than 2.5μm in diameter, it provides a high level of sensitivity in a compact form-factor and is suitable for use in air purifiers and HVAC systems, as well as other forms of air monitoring equipment.

A range of miniaturised sensor modules including a two-in-one ambient light sensor with infrared receiver is now offered by UK firm Selectronic. The modules are part of a key range of integrated sensors available from the Witney, Oxfordshire-based company which marks its 40th anniversary in 2019.

It has been announced by Joral that they are introducing a G-force compensated inclinometer that provides feedback for pitch, yaw, and roll. The new technology utilises sensor fusion, which is the combining of more than one complementary sensing method. 

AMETEK Land will showcase its smart aluminium temperature sensors to achieve smart control and automatic alignment for autonomous operation and perfect aluminium production at Aluminium 2018, which will take place 9-11th October at Messe Düsseldorf, Germany. AMETEK Land will be found on Stand 14H48 in Hall 14. AMETEK Land’s will present its SPOT AL EQS, a spot pyrometer that runs complex embedded software algorithms for both temperature and emissivity outputs. 

The AmbiMate sensor module MS4 series from TE Connectivity is in stock at Mouser Electronics. Incorporating four core sensors on a single printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, the modules enable easy integration in a variety of host products in building automation, lighting, and smart home applications.
