New Inox Angle Seat Valve Combines High Temperature Operation & Corrosion Resistance With Customisation Via Modular Blocks
Bürkert’s new stainless steel 2000 INOX angle seat valve is designed to control a wide range of media - including water, alcohols, oils, steam and air - at temperatures up to +180 degrees C. The combination of the valve’s high temperature and high corrosion resistance means that is ideal for hygienic processing applications, and provides a robust compact and reliable solution for isolating fuels, hydraulic fluid, saline solutions, alkaline solutions, organic solvents and neutral gases.

The pneumatically operated Type 2000 INOX offers the key advantage that both its pneumatic piston actuator and valve body are manufactured from 316L stainless steel, enabling the 2/2 valve to be used with media at temperatures of up to +180 degrees C, at the same time providing the highest levels of protection against corrosion.

In addition to its operational advantages, the Type 2000 INOX provides all the flexibility required of modern valve solutions, with its facility to be customised to meet individual OEM and user applications. Key to this customisation is Bürkert’s development of a modular block system, which can be used to implement complex solutions within minimal space. The multi-functional block replaces the connecting tube solutions used in the past; it significantly reduces assembly time and eliminates connecting elements such as elbows and T-adapters.

A further benefit of the multi-functional blocks is that overall system performance is improved considerably, through the elimination of potential leak paths, and the reductions in material and space achieved by the valve assembly. These reductions mean that the blocks can be used for effective and space-saving implementations of essential fluid functions, such as distributing, collecting and mixing systems, whilst offering the integration of sensors, filters and non-return valves.

The highly compact 2000 INOX is suitable for either normally open or normally closed operation in the pressure range from 0 to 16 bar. In both operating modes, the combination of the valve’s flow-optimised body and flow below seat delivers high flow rates. In addition, a self-adjusting packing gland, which is well proven in countless Bürkert actuators, provides optimum sealing from the valve.

The Type 2000 INOX offers users a number of connection options, including G 3/8, NPT 3/8 threaded ports, and external G ½ thread fluid connections; and welding weld end connections according to EN ISO 1127/ISO 4200, DIN 11850 Series 2, ASME BPE.
