Ametek introduces dura-tek prime circulation pumps

Designed for the school transportation industry, the DurA-Tek Prime pump delivers 40,000 hours of service life and a host of features, including brushless, seal-less motor technology and plug-n-play mounting and connectivity for most applications.

The DurA-Tek Prime pump incorporates engineering that has been proven reliable over decades of extreme heavy-duty use that allow the pump to operate in school buses virtually maintenance free for up to 12 years. The pump is built utilizing components that typically are found in heavy-duty transit applications and is offered with a seven-year warranty when specified in new bus procurement and three years as a replacement.

The pump’s brushless, seal-less design offers leak-proof protection and the capability to resist harsh environmental conditions, such as hot-water spray, salt, fog, shock and vibration. The pump magnetically couples to its brushless DC motor without a wet seal to wear or replace.

This coupling method also allows for easy motor removal without requiring system draining.

The pump’s electronically commutated brushless motor features high efficiency and low current draw. It provides virtually maintenance-free operation, eliminating brush maintenance and associated brush motor failure. Its heavy-duty construction meets the demanding needs of the school bus transportation industry.
