Bearing manufacturer NKE AUSTRIA GmbH introduces the NNF series of double row full complement cylindrical roller bearings. This series of bearings features a compact design and maximum load carrying capacity. The bearings are sealed on both sides and suitable for extreme operating conditions. Typical applications for NNF bearings are rope wheels and pulleys.

Aerotech’s new ETM combines sensor measured micro-displacement and a user friendly GUI that identifies and helps to reduce unwanted machine base and frame motion in high precision, high performance positioning systems. By optimising point to point move settling times and minimising dynamic position errors for high speed contouring, the ETM allows high and ultra-high resolution positioning systems to realise improved throughput and enhanced parts quality.

The wide range of screw options available with the new PSD80 screw driven linear actuator is one of the reasons why it is so versatile. A high lead model for example allows direct coupling of a stepper motor providing a particularly cost effective solution. The unit can also be specified with opposing left and right hand carriages as a “double acting” version. As a result the application scope of this newcomer ranges from light pick and place and assembly operations involving XYZ movements to instrument positioning systems. And in “double acting” format it is ideal as a specialised door and shutter opening and closing mechanism.

Controlflex from SCHMIDT-KUPPLUNG is a precise shaft coupling and is designed especially for the requirements of shaft encoders. The unique middle element is electrically insulating and accommodates all kinds of misalignment with very low restoring forces. This is essential for encoders due to their small and sensitive bearings. The misalignment is compensated in-plane in a remarkably small envelope. The coupling is easy to install thanks to clamp hubs. Additionally the anodized clamp hubs are balanced for high rpm applications up to 25.000 rpm. The modular construction ensures a combination of a variety of different bore diameters from stock.

Semiflex from SCHMIDT-KUPPLUNG is a torsionally-stiff, precise shaft coupling, which is short in length to fit into small envelopes. Radial shaft misalignment, depending on size up to 6,6 mm, is compensated via pivoting parallel movement of two pairs of coupling links. By design this compensation is free of restoring forces.
