Robots are frequently used for material handling, for example removing a finished part from a milling machine and replacing it with a blank part for processing. They are used commonly being used to reduce repetitive strain injuries, allow for operation in wet or harsh environments or to save cost.
igus robolink D articulated joints are ideal parts for constructing robotic arms. Utilising self-lubricated iglidur PRT polymer slewing ring bearings made with iglidur J material, these worm gear driven joints are available for order with or without an igus stepper motor.
The bearings are contained in a plastic housing for lighter weight and are available in three sizes. Pneumatic, hydraulic and all data cables can be laid through the centre hole to avoid any entanglement with the robotic arm movement.
