Of particular interest to the Mining industry in the new Quinmax S500, crankshaft driven, 5 plunger pump, which is able to produce flow rates of up to 1080Ltr/min and pressures reaching 1,000bar. Thanks to its 5 plunger design there is a 40% reduction in fluid velocity per plunger, which results in lower hydraulic noise, and the crank turns slower which reduces mechanical wear and noise. This has been successfully installed in numerous Longwall mines and was recently awarded a certificate of acceptance from UK Coal.
