Leading test equipment rental company Livingston, in association with infrared camera manufacturer FLIR Systems, is to stage a workshop on the use of advanced thermal imaging within the building industry.
Taking place on Thursday 11th November, the workshop will begin at 10.00am (with registration from 9.30am). The venue will be the Livingston headquarters at Livingston House, 2 Queens Road, Teddington, TW11 0LB.

The agenda will consist of the following items:

An introduction to infrared technology
Current/emerging thermal imaging techniques used in the building sector
Details of the thermal camera models available from FLIR Systems
Information on FLIR’s accompanying software packages
Hands on demonstrations of the latest camera models

This will be followed by lunch and a networking session, where attendees can discuss some of the points raised and gain advice on the best way to utilise thermal imaging equipment in their specific application.

In the opinion of Masten Evans, Managing Director of Livingston UK, “With growing concerns about energy wastage and rising utility bills, the use of thermal diagnostics is becoming an integral part of the design, construction and maintenance of homes and workplaces. It means that detailed auditing and analysis can be carried out on buildings in order to reduce heat loss and improve energy efficiency levels.”

“This event will further cement our distribution partnership with FLIR Systems in the UK. It will combine the respective strengths of both companies – providing information on FLIR’s world class diagnostic tools and Livingston’s highly flexible equipment sourcing capabilities” he continues. “It will offer civil engineers, site managers and other professionals within the construction trade the opportunity to learn about the most advanced infrared imaging technologies now on the market, how these can help them with building projects they are involved in, and how they can gain access to such kit without making heavy capital investment.”
