Finishing the Fastener Jigsaw

Given the pressures on manufacturing industry it is understandable that most design/production engineers seek to solve their Fastening & Assembly problems as quickly as possible – a search on Google, a browse of a favourite technical publication or directory – even a phone call to a favourite supplier. However well this works it neglects vital aspects of the specification/purchasing jigsaw – ensuring that the right questions are asked of the right people. The organisers of the Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition – October 23rd at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham – are very familiar with this phenomenon – more than 75% of visitors in April found answers to things they never even realised they had a need for!
Fastening-Solutions.co.uk and its printed counterpart FAST magazine now present over 300 suppliers to readers but very much see the Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition as complementary by providing an opportunity for engineers to complete their view of the industry and close the loop with suppliers.

Opines organiser Mark Newby: “We believe Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition – run twice each year – performs a hugely valuable role by providing that final piece of the jigsaw along with other technical media to enable a full and very detailed search of the industry. There is no doubt that a ‘hands-on’ ‘face-to-face’ discussion is often absolutely essential to a proper sourcing process – our exhibitors tell us and our visitors tell us!”

“Even if you think you’ve got fasteners cracked – come anyway and surprise yourself” added Newby.

With over 500 new products unveiled at the last show it seems design and production engineers are agreed that the best place manufacturing industry can see all the latest labour saving opportunities (as well as find all the newest products that can seriously improve designs) is at the forthcoming Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition. The venue is the wonderful National Motorcycle Museum Birmingham - on October 23rd where all visitors will have the added advantage of receiving a free pass to visit the museum itself!

Parking is free, show entry is free and access to all the latest ideas, inspiration and cost-saving tips from the best fastening, adhesives and assembly suppliers is also free! The National Motorcycle Museum is located right outside the NEC on the exit roundabout of the M42. A location map can be found at www.nationalmotorcyclemuseum.co.uk.
