Fastener exhibition plays its part in cost reduction and production growth
At a time when government forecasts are for zero growth in the economy as a whole – we note that manufacturing industry has grown a steady 1% p.a. since 2002 and that Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition has also had record numbers of exhibitors, visitors and new fastener launches over that time. It may be that these latter facts are related.
Now determined as ever to assist engineers in achieving the twin goals of cost reduction and production growth, Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition on October 23rd is once again bringing the fastener supply chain together face-to-face, to explore cost-saving approaches in the design and production stages of manufacturing. So, with the manufacturing industries already pushing hard to outperform the general economy, there has arguably never been a better time for manufacturing professionals to revisit their current fastening and assembly practices. It is one of the few areas where immediate and substantial savings can be made, both in labour costs (installation time) and materials.

For example at the last show more than 500 new products were unveiled for the first time. Each of these new fasteners has emerged to meet a need, and as with many evolutionary developments, the advantages offered over their predecessors can be significant.

It seems design and production engineers are agreed that the best place manufacturing industry can see all the latest labour saving opportunities (as well as find all the newest products that can seriously improve designs) is at the forthcoming Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition. The venue is the wonderful National Motorcycle Museum Birmingham - on October 23rd where all visitors will have the added advantage of receiving a free pass to visit the museum itself!

Parking is free, show entry is free and access to all the latest ideas, inspiration and cost-saving tips from the best fastening, adhesives and assembly suppliers is also free! The National Motorcycle Museum is located right outside the NEC on the exit roundabout of the M42. A location map can be found at www.nationalmotorcyclemuseum.co.uk.

Further information on the show and advance registration can be found at www.fastening-solutions.co.uk.
