Aiming to find and recognise the best examples of work across all aspects of the welding industry, Welding World have announced the first of its kind, the Welding World Awards. The award ceremony will be held on the 13th April 2016 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, during MACH, a showcase for the manufacturing and engineering industries. Award winners will have full on-going publicity following the ceremony.

This year’s Offshore Europe exhibition, held in Aberdeen, is hoping to exceed the numbers of the previous show in 2013, where 63,000 visitors took the time to attend and visit some of the 1,500 exhibitors. Sulzer will be one of the many new exhibitors that will be welcoming visitors from over 100 countries.

Yokogawa Electric Corporation announces the release of version R3.20 of its Plant Resource Manager (PRM) software tool for the centralised management of large amounts of data from plant monitoring and control devices and manufacturing equipment. PRM R3.20 is an upgrade to R3.12 and includes an improved management function for HART and ISA100 Wireless field devices. With this new PRM version, Yokogawa aims to capture a larger share of the plant maintenance market.
